Happiness is a list of happy things
My terrible behavior this week (I've been sulking like a 3 year old when things haven't gone my way) can be put to one side because it's shaping up to be a Good Weekend.
My team won at 'drop the bomb' in PE. I've never won at drop the bomb before. This probably has a lot more to do with Nessa, Rach, Alex and Gemma then me though.
My Maxïmo Park 'youth size' t-shirt doesn't seem so boyish anymore.
Tomorrow for Matthew's birthday (which was yesterday) we're going to the Panda- all you can eat Chinese buffet.
The library is having a big booksale in the morning.
Hope everyone else has a good weekend Kx

Updatemabobthingy
I've been neglecting the poor blog haven't I?
I haven't done anything exciting in the last week or so, I've mainly being pretending to revise for the Science module tests last Wednesday and meeting with Kiel and Nagwa at Matthew's house (of course he was there as well).
TV is dire at the moment. All I go out of my way to watch is House. The last ski jumping and ski flying competions of the season are on soon so hopefully I'll catch some of them.
Just letting my readers know I'm alive. I promise to update in the rare occurence something interesting happens.
Kx

*hits blog with a stick*
To get to here I've had to refresh everything vaguely 20six related but hopefully it'll still work.
I have nothing to say of note other than, when walking to town at lunchtime there was a car with a bright pink dildo affixed to the aerial.
As you were, Kx

Shiny things!
My new monitor, 19" of flatscreen niceness.
Blatantly homemade badge! I should make a new one, that was a test since it's the second time I've ever used the badgemaker.
Have a good weekend, it's Jim Noir for me tomorrow (hence the badge). Kx

Entry submitted itself before I thought of a title...
First day back at school was delightfully uneventful. My team came third in dodgeball, although it is a little annoying getting the same charvs 'out' over and over until a teacher is watching. Probably got some work done in Digital Applications, it's a largely forgettable lesson. Mr Bird wrote "Gathoring information" on the board much to my amusement at least. Handed my Romeo and Juliet assignment in, in English, only to get launched straight into poetry. Most interesting moment came when Buffham's computer exploded. By exploded, I mean there was a spark that only a few people saw, a bang, and the smell of smoke for the rest of the lesson.
Afternoon kept up the same level of action- learned sequences in Maths. Hurrah. Discovered if I want to go on the much hyped Movies/Nando's chemistry trip I can't go to see the Secret Machines. Really the only reason I think of seeing Secret Machines now is the money that I paid (or haven't according to Matthew ¬_¬) Twelve-bleeding-fifty for some lame MTV sponsored gig! The support is dreadful as well. Looks like I'll just have to refrain from spending money for a while.
On a lighter note Diet Coke with Cherry is vile, but again I'm drinking it because it cost me the total of 89p. I like diet coke and cherry cola, so I don't know how they fucked this up. It smells really strongly and to an extent tastes of cherry sweets.
Managed to miss most of the team ski jumping with having Matthew over, although I did see the very end. Brilliant jumps from all of the 'anchors'- Ljoekelsoey, Hautamaeki and Morgenstern were brilliant. (yes I copied and pasted those names- I can pronounce them all though :D)
Mother has just informed me she thought this was an essay, probably a good sign to shut up. Kx

Some rambling + NBA
My monitor has been randomly flickering to grey a lot recently. It's very easy to tell when most of the boxes on this page should be white. When I finally bothered to get up this morning, my mum was going to into town in quarter of an hour and my Maxïmo Park 'art pack' had arrived. Wooo!
Yay, winter olympics as well. Yay! Snowboard cross on at the minute. I suppose my strange fascination with skiing is reasonably documented here- but I do enjoy most of the other events (pretty much everything other than curling). Yay for Lars Bystoel in the ski jumping and Micky Dorfmeister in the downhill- she was the only female skiier who I ever really was behind ;_; Going out on a high though! I stayed up until 2am last night watching Eurosport's half hour shows. Luge doubles is... odd to say the least.
Anyhows, I can't think of anything pointless to write so I'll move onto the main point of this.
Nine Black Alps, 15/02/06
Got there pretty early but there was a little crowd of absolutely mad people ahead. Wasn't expecting so many people so early to be honest, looks like Nine Black Alps have a lot more local fans than I thought
Even though there was so many of us we had to wait a fair while to get in, and then again before anybody played- unusual for the academy (or it might not be and I have no idea of time).
Polytechic on first, heard a few people say they thought they were boring but the people behind me and seen them before and liked them so I guess that helped. I enjoyed them considering I didn't even know who any of the support bands were going to be. Good setup for the next band...
The Longcut! I recognised the name but I've never heard them before. If they needed a tagline it could be 'Because songs don't need vocals and drums'. If this makes no sense to you it's probably worth an explanation that the singer is also the drummer, and he only does one at once. Not just a gimmick, again I enjoyed them.
Nine Black Alps was mad, there were a lot of kids there (yeah I probably rank among them but this would be something like my 20th gig?). As soon as they started it was that cliché moment when everyone pushes forward. Couldn't recall the order of songs but I imagine they were all there, including some spinny lights for Intermission. Good atmosphere though, really good night.
That was some of my worst writing ever, sorry Kx
